BROWNIES

INGREDIENTS:

    INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Preheat oven at 350°F. Spray 9 x 13 baking pan with nonstick cooking spray. Line with parchment paper, and set pan aside.

  2. Get a large mixing bowl and whisk together melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar. Whisk until sugar is fully disolved. Add eggs and vanilla extract and whisk until fully mixed together.

  3. Sift in flour and cocoa powder. Add salt and espresso powder, if decided to be used, and stir until fully combined. Don't over mix.

  4. Fold in 1 cup of chocolate. Spread evenly into prepared pan in step one, and sprink the remaining 1/4 cup of chopped chocolate on top of the brownies.

  5. Set oven to bake for 25-30 minutes until the brownies are set to touch. Make sure your brownies aren't overbaked. To check whether they are overbaked, grab a toothpick and put it in your brownies, if it comes with some of the brownie and some crumbs, it is fully cooked. Make sure the toothpick doesn't have wet batter or is completely clean.

  6. Once brownies are complete, remove them from the oven and allow them to cool before cutting them into squares. You may sprinkle flaky sea salt on top of the brownies, if desired.
